Faculty and staff can sign up as a Sponsor School so as to offer free tickets to their students. Sullivan schools that have a local endowment can use those funds, whereas other schools can locate alternative sources of funding. The Sullivan Foundation is available as a resource to help you identify that funding if need be.
Our involvement with the Sullivan Foundation Ignite Retreat has been extremely beneficial to both our students and faculty/staff. The retreat facilitators have a transformational impact on students that explore who they are and how they can make a positive social entrepreneurial impact. Faculty and staff have participated in the Sullivan Fellows program where they are provided guidance in the planning and implementation of social entrepreneurship initiatives at our university. Our campus strongly benefits through our participation with this great organization.
Our students have an exciting time at Ignite! They meet young, vibrant entrepreneurs who model innovative approaches to social problems. More importantly, the retreat staff provide students with a toolkit for change and a supportive community of Sullivan schools to help them make an impact back home. The message from these inspiring retreat leaders is very clear: “I’m making a difference, and so can you.”
