A graduate of Prairie View A&M University, since obtaining a Business degree Creative Marketing Consultant Gabrielle Deculus has made good on the creed “Prairie View Produces Productive People.” The recipient of the university’s inaugural “40 Under 40” award, Gabrielle has earned a reputation for delivering results, thanks in part to nearly a decade of nonprofit and for-profit experience in branding, marketing, public relations, fundraising, development, social media engagement and more.
A former Development Director at Habitat for Humanity, Gabrielle was instrumental in the management of all marketing, grants and fundraising projects across three counties in South Atlanta, and managed a partnership with Rick Ross’ community outreach initiatives. As a speaker and panel moderator she’s facilitated a number of events including the Ignite Social Change Retreat, bringing social entrepreneurs from across the country together twice a year with the Sullivan Foundation.
Dedicated to her community, the Louisiana native recently led recovery efforts in response to devastating floods, mobilizing the public while raising over $30K in the process; a feat that later earned her the “Hometown Hero Award” courtesy of Beyonce and Essence Magazine. She currently holds a key Communications role in Roadwork NOLA, a $2.4B project designed to improve transportation and traffic throughout New Orleans; and will also serve as the U.S. Chair of the Nelson Mandela Centennial Events Committee in celebration of his 100th birthday in 2018.
The founder of Business Rules for Women, Gabrielle has created a burgeoning media platform for emerging entrepreneurs and ambitious business women; using a diverse network of contributors to distribute unique content to an audience of over 129,000 success-driven women online. Following the successful debut of a BRFW panel during Austin’s annual SXSW festival, it’s clear that Gabrielle is just getting started. As the brand continues to grow, so does her commitment to helping others achieve their own goals.
